LEAGUE CITY, Texas, Jul 08, 2009 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- ERF Wireless (OTCBB:ERFW), a leading provider of enterprise-class wireless and broadband products and services, announced today that it has relocated the manufacturing and test facility of the company's proprietary network security appliance, CryptoVue(R), to its corporate headquarters in League City, Texas. This move has provided the CrytoVue team greater access to the full R&D resources available at the company's expanded corporate headquarters, while reducing the overhead expense of maintaining the original CryptoVue separate facilities in Taylor, Texas. The move has also allowed the company to begin integrating the capabilities of CryptoVue into the new products and services being developed for a number of new diversified markets that include oil and gas, healthcare, education, law enforcement, and government.
The CryptoVue network security appliance has been marketed for the past three years in conjunction with regulated wireless banking network systems installed by the company's Enterprise Networks Services subsidiary. The CryptoVue device, as well as the overall process by which it is being utilized in the support of the more than 150 ERF Wireless BranchNet bank locations wirelessly connected across three states, is currently the subject of three patents pending as well as others that are in preparation. This proprietary system is also available as a stand-alone security appliance in non-financial institution markets requiring state-of-the-art secure communication appliances that employ multiple controls and 24/7 monitoring to protect highly confidential enterprise data from exposure to the outside world.
